Product description

Build practical knowledge of electric and electro-hydraulic power steering diagnostics with this English-language online course. It is intended for automotive electricians, diagnostic technicians and repair specialists working with EPS racks, columns and EHPS pumps.

Course format

Study at your own pace through text lessons, photos, diagrams, software screenshots and automated quizzes. The main EPS/EHPS course takes approximately 12–15 hours, plus the included electrical fundamentals course.

Topics covered

  • EPS/EHPS operation, components and common failure modes.
  • MS561 PRO setup, cable selection and interpretation of diagnostic results.
  • CAN, CAN-FD, FlexRay and PWM connections and signals.
  • Basic repairs, ECU board diagnostics, retesting and documented programming procedures.
  • Preparing a complete technical support request.

The included electrical fundamentals course contains 8 modules and 26 lessons. Certification requires an 80% passing score on the final assessment and an instructor-graded support-request assignment.

Practical work requires access to MS561 PRO and the appropriate cables. FlexRay work requires MS-39000. Equipment and software are not included with training.
