The MSG Equipment MS012 tests voltage regulators separately from the alternator. By simulating alternator operating conditions, it helps assess regulator performance and select a suitable replacement.

Protection against incorrect connections and short circuits supports regulator testing. Free software updates are available. The manufacturer also refers to this tester as MS012 COM.
