MS016 Alternator, Voltage Regulator and Starter Diagnostic Tester

The MSG Equipment MS016 combines on-vehicle alternator checks, standalone voltage regulator testing and LIN-bus analysis in a handheld unit. Starter diagnostics are available with the separately purchased MS-33503A cable.

Compatibility & Features

The touchscreen tester supports 12/24 V alternators and 12 V Valeo I-StARS Stop-Start units, either on the vehicle or on a bench providing drive and load. A voltage regulator database assists connections. The LIN analyzer reads and saves vehicle bus data. Short-circuit protection is provided during regulator tests, and software updates are free. For starter testing, the vehicle or test bench must provide secure mounting and power. The MS-33503A cable is not included.
